I took up running when I turned 40.
Having slogged my way up Ben Nevis, I realised that from thinking that I was an outdoors-y kind of guy I’d slipped into a get into my car, drive to work and sit behind a desk, kind of guy.
With 3 children I had to fit sport in somewhere and running enabled me to do that.
So, it’s gone from there, 10K, half marathon, marathon and now ultras.
It’s what I enjoy!
I have targets in mind – UTMB, Trans Alpine Run and maybe even the Celtman triathlon. I’m not sure if I’ll do them, but it’s nice to dream…
